The Cause
CONNECT to End Violence is an island organization formed to provide prevention, outreach & emergency services related to domestic & sexual violence to the island community. The mission of CONNECT to end violence is to reduce domestic and sexual violence on Martha’s Vineyard by changing the social norms through education, advocacy, and community mobilization, and providing crisis intervention services including advocacy, counseling, and support services for victims.

The Ship
The Black Dog Alabama is a long time symbol of Martha’s Vineyard. Built in 1926, the Schooner Alabama has been harbored in Vineyard Haven since 1967. It is an authentic Gloucester Schooner designed by world renowned Thomas F. McManus. Cruising on this all wind powered classic New England vessel is an experience like no other.

The Brewery
Founders Brewing is a highly acclaimed award winning brewery based in Grand Rapid, Michigan who’s motto is “We don’t brew beer for the masses. Instead, our beers are crafted for a chosen few, a small cadre of renegades and rebels who enjoy a beer that pushes the limits of what is commonly accepted as taste. In short, we make beer for people like us.” Best known for thier unique style of craft and barrel aged brews founders is a favorite of beer connoisseurs all over the world.

Archer Roose Fine Wines is an innovative wine company who’s motto is “Splendery over Snobbery”, The tag line comes from thier choice to package fine wines in unconventional packaging. Archer Roose is the perfect wine for sailing as it comes in cans and boxed format only. Imported from various regions of the globe Archer Roose has taken the wine world by storm. The Music

Rosie Guerin is a national recording artist best known for her work with Vanderveer, an alternative rock duo that has toured around the globe. Rosie will be performing with island friends on board the cruise for your musical pleasure.

The Food
The cruise will feature a selection of yummy local eats…Chappy Oysters from Oak Bluffs Fish Market, Apps from Copper Wok, local cheese, veggie & fruit plates paired to the brews and wine.
